Date: 4th October,2013 (Friday) Time: 4:30pm - 5:30pm Venue: 1a space, Unit 14, Cattle Depot Artist Village, 63 Ma Tau Kok Road,To Kwa Wan, Kowloon, Hong Kong After the Kai Tak River Green Art Festival (2012.6.) and the tour exhibitions around the local community, Kai Tak River Green Corridor Community Education Project is going to publish its one set-with-two-volume publications, e•Co Habitat: Kai Tak River Green Corridor Community Education Project and e•Co Learning: Kai Tak River Green Corridor Community Education Project Educational Kits. These two volumes are relevant intensively with each other: the former is the documentation and summary of the whole project since 2004, while the latter is a further discussion and continual promotion of the idea of the project. Through the publications, we hope to unceasingly actualize and distribute our kernel idea: to advance the humanistic values of‘Design Together, Build Together, Enjoy Together’ via direct interaction with the community and to materialize the possibility of constructing a humanistic co-habitat of social environment. The book launch is going to take place on 4th Oct 2013 4:30pm, at 1a space in the Cattle Depot Artist Village, To Kwa Wan. During the book launch, there will be an introduction and guidance to reading for the publications and we earnestly welcome all the old and new friends of the project to come and share ideas together. Urban Place Research Unit - School of Architecture, The Chinese University of Hong Kong Leading by Prof. Chang Ping Hung, Wallace, the Urban Place Research Unit established since 2010 is initiating a collaborative research effort with different research bodies to focus on the issue of ‘Urban Place and Community Building in PRD and Southern China’. The research is to build upon the expertise and knowledge cumulated over the past efforts of the investigators on common issues of urban habitation, living density, public space and community building.

日期: 2013年10月4日 (星期五) 時間: 下午4時30分 至 下午5時30分 地點: 香港九龍土瓜灣馬頭角道63號牛棚藝術村14號 1a空間 自2012年6月份舉辦「啟德河綠色藝術節」及之後在社區開展巡迴展覽以來，啟德河綠廊社區教育計劃將於2013年9月推出一套兩冊、相互緊扣的出版物：《生。活共構：啟德河綠廊社區教育計劃》和《活。學共生：啟德河綠廊社區教育計劃配套教材》，一方面作為本計劃從2004年肇始發展至今的記錄與總結，另一方面則是對計劃所抱持的理念作延伸討論和繼續推廣。通過這兩冊書的出版，我們希望將本計劃致力推動的「共構。共建。共享」的人文價值和建構生態人文共生的社會環境的核心理念進一步落實和傳遞出去。新書發佈會於2013年10月4日下午4時30分在土瓜灣牛棚藝術村1a空間舉行，屆時將對出版物作簡要介紹和導讀，歡迎新舊朋友聚首座談，分享心得。 社區營造學社 - 香港中文大學建築學院 社區營造學社於2 0 1 0 在香港中文大學建築系鄭炳鴻教授領導下成立。社區營造學社從公共藝術展覽、建築規劃、社區規劃、地區諮詢以及地方政策等方面著手，推動行動和研究項目。

為配合未來的展覽及活動發展方針，1a空間於2013年8月開展了短期的裝修工程，將有助提升展覽空間運用及觀賞體驗。1a空間將於2013年9月重新開放予公眾參觀。

1a space is currently undergoing renovation in an effort to adapt the interior for future programmes and development. The work will allow more effective use of space in exhibitions and events, as well as improve viewing experience. 1a space will re-open to the public in September.

In the past century, huge transformations took place in every aspect of Mainland China and Hong Kong’s civil developments. Some aspects of culture in both places are similar; the others, different. It’s interesting we have noticed that although Chinese artists grow up in Mainland China having different family backgrounds than those born in Hong Kong, a certain part of their life experiences are similar to those of the Hong Kong artists. Artists from both places are influenced substantially by the Hong Kong mass culture, which forms unique and symbolic memory in artists’ minds. The impacts of mass culture on personal values, culture, and even on values of love and consumerism, unintentionally exert a great influence on the lives of both Mainland Chinese and Hong Kong residents. The Title of the exhibition—A Better Tomorrow refers to the original appearance of prominent individuals. It has also been used as the title of a popular Hong Kong 1980’s film. It’s fascinating that the “heroes” in this film are actually ordinary people in society. The movie has influenced many people in both Mainland China and Hong Kong, indirectly facilitated the formation of common culture and memory for the people in both places, and overturned their traditional views and definition of hero. This exhibition allows artists to use their own thoughts and methods to portray their imagination of the original quality of heroes in “A Better Tomorrow.” Using the artists’ own interpretation on the “history” of Hong Kong culture and the “past” as starting points, the exhibition provides the artists with flexible representational methods to produce inspirational works and convey their own viewpoints on the topic, reinforcing the special communicative method, value, and limitless possibilities art offers to its greater audience.

由於過去一百多年大陸與香港之間各方面的發展上都有著巨大的變化，兩地之間的文化有著相似與差異的地方，但有趣的是我們注意到很多中國大陸和香港的藝術家們的成長背景雖然大不相同，原來他們成長過程的一隅跟很多香港長大的人一樣，也曾受到香港大眾文化一定程度的影響，並形成獨有的符號記憶。這次的展覽題目，“英雄本色”意旨傑出人物的本來面貌，這題目也曾應用於一套八十年代燴炙人口，並是香港大眾文化中具代表性的經典電影之一，這部電影風靡兩地，無論對大陸或香港的文化發展均影響深遠。香港文化作為一個強勢的大眾文化形式，也曾席捲整個大陸，帶給很多人在不同程度上的文化衝擊，間接地促成了兩地人民對文化的某些共同回憶。大眾文化所輸出的訊息在價值觀與文化上的衝擊，甚至於愛情觀，價值觀與消費觀念，都潛移默化地影響著大陸與香港的一代人。由自小對香港文化的經驗與衝擊的一段“歷史”，一段“過去式” 作一切入點，透過現階段參展藝術家自身的認知與觀點，到具啟發性的創作，再加上藝術家均沒有固定的藝術表達形式，來強化藝術賦予觀眾特有的傳遞方式、價值與無限的可能性。 “英雄的本色”不單只是一套經典港產電影的名字，也不只是指傑出人物的本來面貌，它是一個展覽，讓藝術家以自己的方式與想法再玩味他們心目中的英雄的本色，也同時讓大家回味、去思考香港大眾文化所輸出的訊息在價值觀與文化上的衝擊，如何潛移默化地影響著大陸與香港的一代人。

當代藝術私人收藏Burger Collection將跟香港獨立藝術團體1a空間合作，策劃一個為期三年的展覽及研究合作項目，是為Burger Collection的Quadrilogy「四部曲」之第二砲。首個跨媒介展覽名為＜滴溚 滴＞(I think it rains)，將於2013年5月在香港牛棚藝術村展開，共二十多位本地及海外藝術家及作家參與。Burger Collection收藏的當代作品共計超過一千件，藝術家來自四十多個國家，亦曾把作品借予全球知名的藝術機構如古根漢博物館。 項目介紹 ＜滴溚 滴＞匯聚了由Burger Collection及1a space邀請的藝術家、作家及評論家，共同創建一個長達三年的實驗性跨領域合作模式，希望不同媒介及專業界別的藝術家、作家、填詞人有更充份的時間醞釀、互動、扣連，建立複合多樣的有機創作實踐。 是次合作計劃早於2012年11月啟動，由合作計劃核心團隊張康生（藝術家）、蔡仞姿（藝術家）、俞若玫（作家）及Daniel Kurjakovic（策展人）四人正式會談開始。早期的討論主要關注如何建構一個有意義的創作脈絡，容讓多樣豐富的藝術實踐，進行更本質性的實驗。與此同時，成員的對談主要圍繞如何建設一個可供參與者漸進地建立、重新檢視及轉化本身創作內容的運作模式，並策劃為期三年可持續發展的活動平台。於三年的框架中，旨在開創一個扣連本地及國際的合作模式，同時充分考慮香港文化的特殊性和當代藝術在跨國趨勢下的實踐。正如藝術家蔡仞姿女士指出：「這個項目旨在建立一個平台去推動交流，引發平日關係較鬆散的藝術社群，就不同模式的文化生產進行持續對話及討論。」 策展人Daniel Kurjakovic表示Burger Collection「四部曲」之二的首年活動將會「關注藝術家如何叩問歷史，如何探究微觀及宏觀歷史之間的關係，如何從當下已認知的模範及社會行為轉化為面向未來的動力。不少藝術家都愛以各式各樣的研究作為創作的基礎，而這些調查，往往跟當世時序無縫連接，又或恰恰相反。」首個展覽＜滴溚 滴＞將會強調參展藝術家及作家的多面向創作，包括混合媒介、裝置藝術、虛擬寫作或電台廣播節目等不同形式。 ＜滴溚 滴＞將於歷史建築群牛棚藝術村舉行，展場包括牛棚各個單位及露天場地，讓藝術家在古樸而獨特的空間展示創作過程及作品。展覽更設有演出日，將於牛棚及周邊地區舉行多個表演，讓參觀者通過實時活動體驗藝術。同日亦會發佈由Burger Collection主理的雜誌《Torrent》第一期，當中包括不同藝術家的創作，以及有關香港文化及藝術產業的深入討論。 項目第一階段由2013年5月起到12月為止，當中第二期的展覽將在秋季舉行，主要包括藝術家駐地創作計劃、研討會及工作坊，屆時亦會出版圖錄以總結這個為期一年的過程。 展覽的英文名字「I think it rains」採自尼日利亞詩人沃萊·索因卡（Wole Soyinka）的諧音詩，並非純粹描繪勾勒主題的要旨，卻帶出了整個項目的動機：指向物質的真實性、官能上的觸感、細節和多樣性、持續的存在、空間的滲透性，以及無形與有形之間的連繫。而中文名字＜滴溚 滴＞以擬聲的文字重構意象，是下雨不是下雨，是時間的滴漏又或前行，「滴溚」跟「滴」之間的空間是有形和無形之間詩意的張力和懸念。 參與者名單（截至2013年2月） 藝術家及作家： Bani Abidi (巴基斯坦)，Fiona Banner (英國)，Pierre Bismuth (法國)，Muhanned Cader (斯里蘭卡)，Filipa César (葡萄牙)，Alejandro Cesarco (烏拉圭)，張康生，蔡仞姿，周耀輝，Ryan Gander (英國)，Gao Weigang (中國)，Florian Germann (瑞士)，Jon Kessler (美國)，林東鵬，劉清平，吳家俊，伍韶勁，白雙全，Vittorio Santoro (瑞士)，Fiete Stolte (德國)，尹麗娟，俞若玫 Burger Collection及1a空間核心成員：張康生，蔡仞姿，俞若玫，Daniel Kurjakovic，Linda Jensen 參與者及參展藝術家的最後名單將於2013年4月公佈。 二零一三年節目表 發佈展 5月16日：＜滴溚 滴＞展覽開幕（展期為2013年5月17日至6月30日） 5月24日：演出日

 如需活動資料請與我們聯繫，我們亦會於網站更新活動詳情：www.quadrilogy.org 展覽場地 牛棚藝術村位於香港土瓜灣，是香港藝術界一個重要而固定的展覽場地。牛棚是位於九龍區中心的一個歷史文物古蹟，過去是一個牲畜檢疫站和屠宰場，為香港碩果僅存建於一戰前的屠宰場。過去十多年來，有多個以藝術工作者組成的機構及文化製作單位進駐牛棚藝術村，如錄影太奇、進念二十面體和前進進劇場工作坊，而1a空間則自2001年起進駐牛棚藝術村直到現在。
