1a space | ALTART: Open Call for Art Education Programme

Deadline: 20 March 2026 (23:59 HKT)

1a space has always believed that art education does not need to be confined within the classroom. Learning can be a process of cocreation, an exploration, an adventure, or even a work still in progress. ‘ALTART’ is created precisely for these possibilities.

We are now launching an open call for cultural practitioners with innovative visions. You are invited to transform your imagination of art education into actions that can meet, engage, and be practiced with the public. The programme aims to bring together art and cultural workers, educators, and the public from diverse backgrounds to collectively expand art education models beyond educational institutions, continuing 1a space’s long-standing focus on community connection and critical learning.

For details, refer to the website: https://www.oneaspace.org.hk/altart

  • Art educational approaches that are not typically found within traditional curricula

  • Art education ideas you have long wanted to try but lacked a platform to realise
