1a space is now inviting applicants for the position of Management Trainee (Full-time)* through HKADC's Intermediate Arts Administration Internship Programme.
We are looking for professionals who are able to perform competently in the changing arts and cultural environment. The position will be introduced to various aspects of arts administration and learning key knowledge and specialised areas required of arts administrators.
*Supported by Intermediate Arts Administration/Production Internship Programme under the Hong Kong Arts Development Council.

What You’ll Do
Strategic & Administrative Leadership
Support the Board of Directors in organisational execution and strategic initiatives
Research and pursue funding opportunities, sponsorships, and grant applications
Prepare compelling presentations, proposals, and reports that advance our mission
Oversee and maintain our organisational archive, preserving our institutional memory
Perform ad-hoc duties as designated
Curatorial & Production Support
Collaborate with artists and curators to conceptualise, prepare, and produce exhibitions and diverse arts projects
Liaise with contractors, partners, artists, curators, schools, and community groups
Build meaningful partnerships with cultural organisations, community groups, and educational institutions
Marketing & Communications
Co-develop strategic marketing and brand-building campaigns with our Marketing Officer
Plan and implement targeted campaigns for specific art projects and exhibitions
Craft engaging content for press releases, e-newsletters, social media, and our website
Draft, proofread, and translate publicity materials across English and Chinese
Who You Are
Experience & Education
Hold a degree in art history, visual arts, fine arts, art management, art education, curatorial studies, museum studies, or related disciplines
Bring 4+ years of professional experience in the arts sector, or community/cultural project management
Have a proven track record of working within creative and cultural environments
Skills & Qualities
Hong Kong permanent residents aged 18 or above
Exceptional bilingual writing abilities (English and Chinese) with a flair for compelling storytelling
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills—you connect authentically with diverse stakeholders
Self-directed yet collaborative, able to work independently while thriving in partnerships with educational and cultural institutions
Highly organised, driven, and adept at maintaining clear communication with funders and programme partners
Comfortable navigating the evolving arts and cultural landscape with agility and vision
