Talents Wanted - Administration Officer and Programme Officer
1a space, founded in 1998, is an independent, non-profit making contemporary visual arts organisation and exhibition venue founded by a collective of Hong Kong art practitioners. Over the past twenty years, 1a space has presented and organised more than 170 exhibitions and activities. 1a space has played a vital role in developing new frontiers for the visual arts scene in Hong Kong and its representation abroad.
1a space is now inviting applicants for the Administration Officer (Full-time) position, which aims to perform competently in the changing arts and cultural environment. It will be introduced various aspects of arts administration and cover fundamental knowledge and specialized areas required of arts administrators.
Assist in development, coordination and implementation of multifaceted art projects and arts education programmes, such as talks, workshops, tours, and exhibitions;
Liaise and coordinate with appointed contractors, working partners, artists, curators, schools, community groups, and other organisations, to deliver the art projects and education programmes within schedule and budget
Provide administrative, financial, and operational support for efficient project management
Assist in preparing presentations, meeting minutes, proposals, and reports;
Support drafting, proofreading and translating bilingual texts for the publicity materials;
Responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the gallery and managing the documentation of the project;
Perform ad-hoc duties as designated.
Hong Kong permanent residents aged 18 or above with fluency in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), and English;
Possess a tertiary institute, preferably in Fine Arts, Design, Cultural Management, Cultural Studies, or a related subject, within the last three years;
Great interest in arts, arts education and culture related subjects, with knowlege about local and international art and culture would be advantage;
Relevant experience in organising art exhibitions, art projects, and arts education projects with administration work is preferable;
A team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Willing to work under pressure, self-motivated and detail-oriented;
Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Video editing is an advantage;
Required to work at flexible hours or on Saturday, Sunday, or public holidays for operational needs.

1a space is now inviting applicants for the position of Programme Officer (Full-time). The position aims to allow the candidate to perform competently in the arts and cultural field and will be introduced to various aspects of management and production of arts events.
Coordinate the exhibition design and production;
Plan and execute strategic marketing plans for the Organisation’s brand building campaigns locally and internationally;
Plan and implement marketing campaigns for a variety of art projects;
Liaise with internal and external parties to ensure effective implementation of the marketing campaigns;
Develop and maintain a strong media network;
Compose and deliver press releases, e-newsletter, social media and website content;
Responsible for photo shooting, video recording, and editing for the arts programmes;
Assist in the design and production for the promotional materials;
Perform ad-hoc duties as designated.
Hong Kong permanent residents aged 18 or above;
Diploma or above graduate of the last 3 three years, preferably in marketing, communication, journalism, public relations, design, language, or art-related disciplines. Preferably obtained within the last three years;
Working experience in marketing, communication, public relations or journalism is preferable;
Knowledge and skills in design and printing production would be an advantage;
Proficiency in managing website and social media, photo shooting, video recording and editing;
Good knowledge of digital equipment setup and photographic techniques;
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketchup/AutoCAD, and Video editing;
Knowledge of web programming and experience in RWD (Responsive Web Design) will be an advantage;
Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English;
Immediately available preferred.
