In the dual role of critic/curator, how do they navigate the intricate relationships within the art world?
In this talk, Chloe Chow reflects on what it means to “critic as a curator” when critique is directed first and foremost towards artists rather than audiences. She will share how curatorial work can become an ongoing, conversational form of criticism embedded in the creative process, rather than a verdict on the final exhibition. The session will explore how dialogue, trust, and tension between curator and artist can open up new possibilities for making, reframing critique as a relational and generative practice.
