Urban Routing Mission 1: The Shop-Opening Boardgame
This is a game-creation exercise in sensory transformation. In this workshop, participants will take on the role of "shop-opening procurement officers" in To Kwa Wan, racing against the clock to complete the material-sourcing tasks on their mission cards. Using their eyes, hands, ears, and bodies, participants will stockpile enough sensory material—encompassing space, textures, and local character—before returning to 1a Space to open their own bespoke, surreal To Kwa Wan eatery.
This journey invites everyone to explore the experiential game co-created by artists Cat, Cathleen, and Chung Wing Shan. Here, participants are not merely consumers of space; through a collective process of discussion and negotiation—a "shop-opening" struggle—they will deconstruct their "street collections" and restructure them into a "board game mechanism." This game weaves together sensory imprints of the community, the textures of urban reality, and the mechanics of tabletop gaming into a creative experience.

Urban Routing Mission 2: Fragments & Territory Zine
This is a mission-based urban exploration and observation project. In this workshop, participants will transform into "hunter-collectors" lurking in To Kwa Wan, equipped with specific search tasks to capture "fragmented prey”, those pieces of the city left behind or tethered by personal memories—found within everyday streets, individual landmarks, and historical architecture.
Guided by artists Jeff and Syche, participants will explore two distinct perspectives on urban fragmentation, learning to adopt a "hunter's eye" to seek out and capture space through imagery, text, and observation. Recording a community becomes a creative process of "Capture" and "Fragments reconstruction," refining everyday traces to be reassembled into a bespoke Prey Map Commemorative Zine.

Syche Shum (The Hunter Outside)
