Art Basel will return to Hong Kong from 23 - 25 March, 2017 for its fifth edition at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. 1a space has been organizing the fair school tours on providing insights on art appreciation to art teachers and students. Reaching the 5th year of the partnership with Art Basel in Hong Kong in 2017, 1a space proudly presents guided tours to secondary school teachers and students aged 14 or above during the show period from 23 (Thur) -24 (Fri) March, 2017. 1a space is now looking for 4 docents providing 4 tours a day. Each tour will last for 45 minutes with maximum 20 students in Cantonese or English. The guide will be responsible for sharing information about the art fair, participating artists and their works from selected galleries. A briefing and training session will be provided to the selected docents. In return, 1a space will provide a complimentary pass to the Art Basel in Hong Kong which allows docent to enter the fair for the entire fair period (21st March – 25th March 2017). Limited travel allowance will be provided. Requirements: - Major in Fine Arts, or other Arts & Cultural disciplines preferably with knowledge of art history in the field of contemporary art - Strong communication and organizational skills - Fluency in Cantonese and English Interested candidates are invited to send full resume to info@oneaspace.org.hk (Subject: 1a space docent for Art Basel in Hong Kong) by 24 February 2017. Please note the followings for registration: 1) All participants must be aged 14 or above. 2) The recommended minimum chaperone student ratio is 1: 10 (1 teacher with 10 students). During the tour, participants are not allowed to leave independently. 3) All schools must use the Expo Drive entrance, and proceed directly to the dedicated School Group Cloakroom. 4) All recording and photo taking devices are not permitted at the fair. 5) For safety and security reasons, backpacks, suitcases and trolleys of any size are not allowed. Bags, briefcases and similar items larger than 16" x 8" x 16" (40 x 20 x 40 cm) must be deposited at the coat check.　Only one bag per person is allowed. Co-organised by Oi! and Urban Place Research Unit of School of Architecture, The Chinese University of Hong Kong “E-pathy City” is an experiment to explore the interrelation of Empathy, Art, Green issue and Elderly. Since July 2015, we will organise a series of workshops at Oi! and its vicinity to explore the over-arching concept of “Empathy City”, which is presumably a utopian state of the social imagination where mutual understanding and genuine communication between different social groups are enabled by the vicarious experience of the feelings of one another. Participants will be challenged to reflect and search for the ideal intra-city relations, favorable social conditions and available means to construct and incubate an empathy city. It aims at exercising our “empathy” muscle, stretching our extended imagination and affiliation, to build our capacity to empathize. The project is unfolded by three phases, 1. Introduction and Interaction; 2. Intervention and Interflow; 3. Integration and Innovation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Over the years, the changes of the society and other sociology-economical factors affect the definition and operation of art spaces as well as its relationship with the community. Conflicts between different generations and communities occurs constantly. With the rapid growth of art spaces recently, the target audience and its relationship with the community were also be redefined and reconstructed. Workshops are designed with creative characteristic of the community to initiate participants to understand their neighborhood with a different perspective. From arts and creative approach, we will discover the possibilities and imagination of intergenerational and intercommunal communication. Online Registration: https://goo.gl/forms/itgBY2te9wkqb6UK2 Event 1 : Be an city archeologist - Rubbing Workshop A milestone is one of a series of numbered markers placed along a road or boundary at intervals to indicate the distance in miles from a specific point. They are typically located at the side of the road or in a median. In another word, it represents a significant event or stage in the life, progress, development, or a turning point of a person. Participants of Workshop (1) will go for a tour at the old neighborhood of To Kwa Wan to find the milestone in the city. To record the millstone, participants will learn the technique of rubbing and use color materials to copy the pattern on the surface of the milestone. To duplicate the words or patterns found on the milestone is a common practice for archeologist to preserve and manage the identity of a place and understand the social life of our ancestors. To review the historical monuments of our city, it signifies our appreciation to the past and enrich our knowledge to our urban development. Participants then will bring the pattern to Oil Street and further develop it into an artwork. It also signifies the past constructing our future. Event 2: Complexion of the city – Fabric Dyeing Workshop A stone, a leaf or a piece of flower petal could be the raw materials for art creation. In this workshop, participants will learn to see the city with a different perspective and cherish the environment by creating an environmental friendly lifestyle. Participants will first collect materials at Cattle Depot Artist Village at To Kwa Wan, and take a ferry journey to North Point Oil!. Participants will create environmental friendly ink with those collectable objects and hand dye a cotton cloth, adding value to these leftovers in the concrete jungle. The skill of fabric dyeing is a traditional craftsmanship and the fabric dyeing industry of Hong Kong is almost faded away. To learn a traditional art skill with pick-up materials from the city, it signifies the appreciation of the past and create a second life for the bits and pieces of the city. By renovate the image of indigo dye , To Hok Chi aimed to overview the human relationship in the mass production , to explore is there are loss and grain during the industrialization process. Event 3: Constructing our city – Sculpture Making Workshop After the restoration of the declared historical monuments, both Oi! in North Point and Cattle Depot Artist Village in To Kwa Wan transformed into art projects. The architectures themselves also carry loads of historical meanings with very similar architectural characteristics. Participants of workshop 3 will create a sculpture with the red bricks from Cattle Depot Artist Village, and carry the sculpture to Oil!. Participants will then add concrete into the sculpture and create a memorable object combining the two places’ architectural spirits. Event 4: From the past to present – Dialogue between artists from different generation Founders of art spaces which aims in developing community arts from different generations will be invited to share the rationale, visions and positioning of their art space. The relationship and possibilities between public spaces, art spaces and the community will be discussed. 「依念・同理」計劃是探索同理概念、藝術、環保及長者議題之間相互關係的一項實驗。自2015年7月起，我們於油街實現藝術空間及鄰近社區開展了一系列工作坊，探索「同理城市」的概念。「同理城市」可被視為一個烏托邦式的社會想像，不同社群之間可以憑藉代入式的體驗而達致相互理解及真正的溝通。透過活動，參加者可反思及搜尋理想的「城市內關係」、相宜的社會狀態，以及建築和孕育「同理城市」的途徑。而透過運動我們的「同理」肌，期望可延伸我們的想像與連結，以建構我們同理的能力。 「依念・同理」共分為三個階段，一、介紹與互動；二、干預與互流；三、整合與革新。 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 時移世易，在各種社會及經濟因素的影響下，藝術空間的定義與營運有著不同程度的改變和轉化。不同時代與社群之間存在著各種長期而且深層的矛盾與誤解。近年不少新設立的藝術空間，亦重新定義藝術受眾與社區的關係。 是次藝術創作工作坊將融合各個社區的特色，引導參加者以不一樣的角度了解自己的家園。從藝術創作出發，找尋更多跨世代及跨社區的溝通可能與想像。 網上報名表格: https://goo.gl/forms/itgBY2te9wkqb6UK2 活動一 :「做個城市考古學家 」拓印工作坊 里程碑在一個城市裡隨處可見。它們多為標有數字的石頭或路標，豎立於路邊以標示距離及該地方的意義。同時，里程碑亦可以指人生中一些重要時刻，包括一些對人生有重大意義的過程、發展或轉捩點等。 參加者將於工作坊(一)走訪土瓜灣舊區的大街小巷去找尋城市中的里程碑，利用拓印的技巧把里程碑上的圖案與紋路複印出來。拓印技巧常見於考古工作中，以記錄與保存一個城市的身份與理解前人的社會生態。透過理解一個城市的歷史遺跡，參加者可更充分了解屬於我們的歷史及城市規劃發展的知識。最後，參加者會乘坐渡海小輪把圖案帶到油街實現藝術空間進行創作藝術品，以過去孕育未來。 導師：彭灼楹 藝術工作者，遊走於拼貼、版畫和繪畫的形式之間，以觀察自己和生活記憶為題。最近喜歡坐船和看海。 日期：18.12.2016 (日) 時間：14:00-17:00 名額：15位 地點：油街實現活動室2 活動二 :「城市的氣色 」扎染工作坊 一塊石頭、一串枯葉、一片花瓣也可以是藝術創作的原材料。參加者將於本工作坊中學會以不同角度透視我們的城市，並透過建立一個環保的生活態度，重新看待這個城市的環境。參與者會在導師的指引下，於土瓜灣牛棚藝術村中搜羅物料並乘坐渡海小輪到油街實現。參加者會利用搜集回來的物料製作染料，以扎染的方法把棉布染色，為石屎森林的剩餘物添上另一重意義。扎染技術是一門傳統工藝，而布料漂染的工業在香港已經是一種夕陽工業。這個工作坊希望參加者透過學習一種傳統工藝及利用城市的資源，學會欣賞城市的過去與歷史，為城市的碎片建構出第二道生命。 導師：杜學知 香港著名染布工房“片藍造” 的染色技術監督, 喜歡在虛擬年代用實感重塑對質感的體驗，也從而檢視人與人之間在生產製造的關係。 日期：31.12.2016 (六) 時間：14:00-17:00 名額：15位 地點：油街實現活動室2 活動三：「構想我城」－　雕塑工作坊 經過修復與重建，油街實現與牛棚藝術村皆成為了藝術文化空間。它們的建築承載著濃厚的歷史意義，而且擁有十分相似的建築特色。本工作坊的參加者將會利用牛棚藝術村的紅磚製作雕塑，並乘坐渡海小輪把雕塑帶到油街實現，並在活動室內為雕塑加上混凝土，製作出一個混合多種風格及兩地建築特色的雕塑作品。本工作坊將為參加者介紹初階的定型技巧及培養參加者的觀察力。 日期：7.1.2017 (六) 時間：9:00-12:00 名額：15位 地點：油街實現活動室2 活動四 : 從那時到這時－隔代藝術人對話 邀請新設立的藝術空間發起人與大眾一同分享對藝術空間的定位與想象，透過不同年代的藝術空間發起者相互分享經驗，討論公共空間、藝術空間與社區的關係與可能性。 講者建議： 香港故事館 青春工藝 SoIL鄉土學社 碧街１８號 馬寶寶社區農場 梧桐河藝術節 日期：14.1.2017 (六) 時間：14:00-17:00 講者人數：3-5位 地點：油街實現活動室2 活動五：工作坊作品成果展 活動一至活動三的工作坊作品將會於工作坊完畢後在油街實現活動室2展出。 日期：17.12.2016 (六) - 14.1.2017 (六) 時間：14:00-17:00 地點：油街實現活動室2 活動六：作品展覽閉幕禮 展覽最後一天將舉行閉幕禮，邀請工作坊參與者分享學習經驗及感受，與公眾一同分享藝術創作的樂趣。 日期：14.1.2017 (六) 時間：14:00-17:00 地點：油街實現活動室2

「島敘可能」藝術家分享：11月12日，3-5pm 講者︰飲　江、劉學成、蔡仞姿、郝立仁 島敘可能：【文學ｘ視藝】展覽 自然風景的探索，以及居住感觸，歷來是文藝創作的靈感來源。島的孤立與連結，也可作為文藝的隱喻。而本土地貌特色之一，正是離島眾多。香港文學季將選擇６個離島作為考察對象，分別邀請６位作家及藝術家配搭合作，進行文學及視藝的跨媒介對話創作，催生文學與視藝作品，呈現自然與文學的視、聽、觸覺等多重感官關係，呈現多維的創作面貌。文字與視藝的雙重介入下，本土的現實與想像，將會有怎樣的變化？ 參展藝術家︰ 大嶼山 — 廖偉棠ｘ馬琼珠；長　洲 — 樊善標ｘ劉學成； 龍珠島 — 韓麗珠ｘ蔡仞姿；東平洲 — 飲　江ｘ郝立仁； 蒲台島 — 唐　睿ｘ何兆南；小鴉洲 — 崑　南ｘ香建峰。 策展人︰鄧小樺（文學）、石俊言（視藝） 展覽日期︰１１月１２日至１２月２３日 開幕酒會︰１１月１２日，６-８pm 地點：九龍土瓜灣馬頭角道６３號牛棚藝術村 1a space 展覽開放時間：逢星期二至日上午11時至晚上７時 ＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊＊ 參展者簡介︰ 藝術家︰ 【蔡仞姿】 蔡仞姿自80年代已是一位活躍的視覺藝術家，她亦為香港最早期的非牟利獨立藝術機構之一1A空間的創辦人。於1990年獲亞洲文化協會旅美藝術家獎。1993年，蔡氏應邀為第一屆亞太三年展，於澳州的昆士蘭藝術館展出之藝術家，同年於德國的柏林世界藝術館舉行個展。於2011年獲民政事務局局長嘉許獎。 於2015年，蔡氏參與香港M+視覺文化博物館伙同紐約現代藝術博物館（MoMA）舉辦的小野洋子“MORNING PEACE”共時進行的互動項目演出。蔡氏的作品被香港藝術館及香港文化博物館所收藏。她現於香港生活及工作。 【馬琼珠】 馬琼珠於2001 年獲澳洲皇家墨爾本理工大學文學士（純藝術）學位。同年，她獲香港藝術發展局頒發志奮領獎學金，前往英國列茲大學就讀，取得 Feminist Theories and Practice in Visual Art 碩士學位。馬氏曾多次於香港及外地舉行展覽，作品入選05 年香港藝術雙年展，並為沙田歷史文化博物館所收藏。她曾參加在孟加拉、香港、芬蘭、波羅的海奧蘭群島等地舉行的藝術家交流工作坊及駐場藝術家計劃。她是亞洲文化協會利希慎基金獎助金得主，08 年赴紐約實習及考察。 【香建峰】 香建峰畢業於澳洲皇家墨爾本理工大學，獲藝術碩士及文學士(藝術)學位。近年遊走於藝術教育、繪畫創作及平面設計之間。香氏曾參與多個本地及海外展覽、藝術活動，繪畫作品入選2003年當代香港藝術雙年展，並為香港藝術館及私人收藏。 現為香港藝術學院講師。 【劉學成】 2005年取得澳洲皇家墨爾本大學藝術學士學位,2007年完成該校的藝術碩士學位。自2003年起,劉氏積極參與多個本地聯展;2006及2008年曾於香港舉辦「規律 － 劉學成個人行動」,「詩前想後」,「乞泉齋內的水動山靈」,「測不準定理」及「向你好說你好」等多次個人展覽。2007年被選為香港藝術推廣辦事署「藝遊鄰里計劃」的推介藝術家之一, 2008年於美國波特蘭參與駐場藝術創作,2010至2014年次多於韓國參與藝術家進駐計劃。2011於中國天津舉辦「求不得」混合媒体作品個人展覽。曾於2004及2005年兩度入選「夏利豪基金會藝術比賽」。作品為中國、美國、韓國及香港等地的私人收藏家及公共機構收藏。 【何兆南】 何兆南於2006年畢業於香港理工大學。 他於2008年成為全職藝術家並成了立自己的工作室。何氏曾參展多個群展包括於德國Museum Folkwang及西班牙Palma de Mallorca的CHINA 8項目“Works in Progress”（2015）及日本清里攝影藝術博物館的“清里攝影藝術博物館開館20周年紀念展「原点を、永遠に。」”。他獲頒發「香港當代藝術雙年獎2009」年度獎及入選「法興銀行中國藝術獎2010」和「Sovereign傑出亞洲藝術獎2011」。他的作品被Burger Collection、香港文化博物館、香港立法會及日本清里攝影美術館所收藏。 何氏現於香港生活及工作。於2013年，他創辦了『百呎公園』，一個策劃展覽及促進藝術交流的非牟利藝術空間。 何氏新作品《不平日常》（2015）及《散景》（2014）揭示了潛在於平靜的城市風景中的危機感，作品拼合了何氏一向關注的社會政治議題，如近期作品《門常開》（2014）和《防衛與抵抗》（2013），及在較早期作品中如《平日常》（2013）、《天地人》（2011）及《光之道》（2011）中，對於存在和生命中無常狀態的思考。 【郝立仁】 郝立仁於二零一一年獲澳洲皇家墨爾本理工大學頒授藝術文學學位。郝氏採用多種媒介如手造紙、素描及繪畫等，去探討和體驗人與環境的關係和記憶，以及表達對本土地方意識的關注，他更於本年7月遠赴冰島山城藝術空間（Listhús í Fjallabyggðis），進行為期一個月的藝術家駐場計劃，藉此從大自然吸取更多的創作靈感。 作家︰ 【崑　南】 崑南，原名岑崑南，另有筆名葉冬，廣東恩平人， 1935年生於香港。早年曾在《香港時報》副刊《淺水灣》、《快報》副刊等撰寫小品文、詩歌、遊記等專欄。 1955年出版詩集《吻，創世紀的冠冕！》， 1961年自資出版第一部實驗性長篇小說《地的門》。五十年代起，曾與王無邪、葉維廉等人合辦或獨力創辦多份刊物包括《詩朵》、《好望角》、《香港青年周報》、《詩潮》、《小說風》、《詩 ++》等等。作品還包括短篇小說集《戲鯨的風流》、《天堂舞哉足下》等，《打開文論的視窗》獲第八屆香港中文文學雙年獎文學評論組推薦獎，詩集《詩大調》獲第九屆香港中文文學雙年獎新詩組雙年獎， 2015年推出英文小說《KILLING THE ANGELS》。主持香港本土文學討論區網站「香港文學大笪地」。歷任多屆中文文學奬創作獎及雙年獎評審。 【飲　江】 原名劉以正。四九年生於香港，七十年代開始新詩創作。八七年與朋友合辦詩刊《九分壹》。九七年出版詩集《於是你沿街看節日的燈飾》（曾獲第五屆香港中文文學雙年獎詩組獎項）。另一詩集《於是搬石你沿街看節日的燈飾》﹝二零一零年三月出版﹞。 【樊善標】 香港中文大學中國語言及文學系文學士，哲學碩士及博士，現任該系副教授、香港文學研究中心主任。樊教授的研究興趣包括香港文學、現代散文及建安文學。著有詩與散文集《力學》、詩集《暗飛》、評論集《爐外之丹：文學評論及其他》，編有《犀利女筆──十三妹專欄選》、《香港後青年散文集合》、《墨痕深處：文學、歷史、記憶論集》、《〈新生晚報〉「新趣版」，1945-1976資料冊》、《陌生天堂──五十年代都市故事選》、《〈文子〉與先秦兩漢典籍重見資料彙編》及《香港文學大系——散文卷一》等。 【廖偉棠】 廖偉棠， 1975年出生於廣東，後移居香港，為詩人、作家、攝影師。曾獲香港文學獎雙年獎，臺灣時報文學獎，聯合報文學獎等，香港藝術發展獎2012年度最佳藝術家（文學）。曾出版詩集《苦天使》、《少年游》、《黑雨將至》、《和幽靈一起的香港漫遊》、《野蠻夜歌》、《八尺雪意》等十種，小說集《十八條小巷的戰爭遊戲》,散文集《衣錦夜行》，雜文及攝影集《我們從此撤離，只留下光》、《波希香港.嬉皮中國》等。 【韓麗珠】 著有長篇小說集《離心帶》（2013）, 《縫身》（2010）及《灰花》（2009）、中篇小說集《失去洞穴》（2015）、《風箏家族》（2008）、中短篇小說集《寧靜的獸》（2004）、短篇小說集《輸水管森林》（1998）和與謝曉虹合著的《雙城辭典》（2012）及合集《Hard Copies》（1999）。曾獲二零零八《中國時報》開卷十大好書中文創作類、二零零八及二零零九《亞洲週刊》中文十大小說、香港中文文學雙年獎小說組推薦獎、第二十屆《聯合文學》小說新人獎中篇小說首獎。長篇小說《灰花》獲第十三屆紅樓夢文學獎推薦獎。 參與2009深圳香港雙城雙年展特別項目「漫遊：建築體驗與文學想像」，撰寫了小說《回家》虛構人與建築（土樓公舍）的故事。 【唐　睿】 薪傳文社社員，曾獲第一、二屆大學文學獎詩、小說獎及第廿九屆青年文學獎散文、兒童文學獎。香港教育學院主修美術，教育學士學位畢業後留學法國，巴黎第三大學──新索邦大學法國文學學士、比較文學碩士，上海復旦大學中文系博士。作品見於本地文學雜誌。首本小說集《Footnotes》獲第十屆香港中文文學雙年獎小說組雙年獎。現為香港浸會大學人文及創作系助理教授。 策展人︰ 【鄧小樺】（文學部分） 畢業香港中文大學中國語言及文學系，香港科技大學人文學部碩士。為《字花》創刊編輯，曾於城大創意媒體學院、浸大電影學院、香港藝術中心及各中學教授寫作及文學閱讀課程，現任香港文學館有限公司理事會召集人、香港文學館總策展人。曾獲中文文學獎散文組冠軍、新詩組亞軍、「大學文學獎」新詩組冠軍等。著有詩集《不曾移動瓶子》、《眾音的反面》、散文集《斑駁日常》、《若無其事》、訪問集《問道於民》，合著《所以美好》、《文學星座》等；編有文學合集《走著瞧：香港新銳作者六家》、《一般的黑夜一樣黎明——香港六四詩選》（合編）及《是她也是你和我——準來港婦女訪談集》（合編）。近年於各大報章及雜誌撰寫專欄、訪問及評論。 【石俊言】（視藝部分） 於2015年獲嶺南大學頒授文化研究碩士學位，另早於2011年獲皇家墨爾本理工大學(RMIT)頒授純藝術碩士學位，並獲碩士班最優秀成績獎項；及於2008年獲該院校頒授純藝術學士學位。2005年先後於香港藝術學院獲頒純藝術文憑(攝影)及視覺藝術證書。 於2011至2014年間擔任提藝廊 (theA‧lift) 之策展人，以策劃本地視覺藝術家展覽及活動為任。石氏過往曾策劃之視覺藝術展覽眾多，當中特別項目包括「藝術北京2013」參展單位之香港藝術家二人聯展、「亞洲頂級畫廊博覽會2013」、「伙炭藝術工作室開放計劃」參與單位展覽項目、尖沙咀海港城美術館「此境彼代」藝術聯展等。石氏早年之藝術創作亦曾獲邀於多個畫廊、商場展出。 現為香港文學生活館之項目統籌，主要協助館內一切有關美學、展覽、設計、攝影等視覺元素工作，具多年視覺媒介製作經驗。近年設計及排版之書籍包括《文學是一場寧靜的奮鬥——香港未有文學館》、《書在，人在——在緊緻的密縫中閱讀》、《無頭•神怪•紮腳——藝術旦后余麗珍》及《文華粵劇劇本選》等。亦曾協助策劃文學與視覺藝術之跨界展覽，包括《初始的溫度——文人手稿展》、《文學刺青，墨成肉身》及《文人瞬目——香港文學生活館會員攝影展》。
