The ‘Pooi To Kiln - Eternal Tableware’ project is nearing its anticipated conclusion. Under the guidance of resident artists Cheung King Wai and Chan Nga Man, visual arts students from Pooi To Middle School have spent the past six months learning pottery-making and traditional ceramic culture. Their goal is to create all the ceramics ware needed for a meal. The students' ceramics have been fired in Pooi To Middle School’s kiln. Throughout this process, the students not only honed their pottery skills but also discovered that art can be integrated into daily life, adding value and creating artistic experiences.

The final works of the ‘Pooi To Kiln - Eternal Tableware’ project will be showcased in two locations through communal meals. The first showcase will be held at Pooi To Middle School, where the audience will consist of school members. Through student invitations, the principal, teachers, parents, and fellow students will come together to enjoy this ‘one meal’ and appreciate the students' artistic achievements. The second showcase will take place at the 1a space gallery, inviting the public to share in the results of this creative project.

‘Pooi To Kiln - Eternal Tableware’ is supported by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council's Art-in-School Partnership Scheme.
