Human Landscape - Performing Harmony

KV.jpg

Project Overview

The ‘𝑬.𝑪𝑶 𝑹𝒐𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂’ project is organised by the Department of Architecture, HKU and co-presented by 1a space. An array of exciting and valuable public programmes will be launched this summer.

Oriented from initiatives of the ‘human-landscape strategy’ in revitalisation of local rural culture, ‘𝑬.𝑪𝑶 𝑹𝒐𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂’ is an architecture, conservation and cultural integration program, and a prototypic exploration cum showcase of how villagers and citizens may join forces to cultivate a sustainable living heritage.

Pathing ways for the prolonged objective of cultural inheritance, the project aims at giving participants and visitors a holistic journey from design, building, learning and skills sharing by starting with the design and building of a bamboo rotunda and through a cohort of crafts, land studies, art and music practices, in strategic sites on Yim Tin Tsai village, Sai Kung, Hong Kong.

*This is a membership-only event, anyone who registers successfully will become a member automatically.
