Exhibition/Technical Intern (2 Headcounts):

If you are passionate about the arts and culture, and looking for an internship experience during your summer term, welcome to join the Internship Programme of the Talkover/Handover 2.0 Project this year to learn about and explore one of the most prominent art projects in Hong Kong. It will be a unique opportunity for current Arts students interested in obtaining contemporary art exhibition experience in a gallery setting. The Exhibition/Technical Interns will work closely with the project team of Talkover/Handover 2.0 and management teams of 1a space to gain insights in art project development, event logistics, exhibition setup and dismantling, as well as other art administrative tasks.

Internship Schedule:

Application period: now until 15 May 2017
Duration: 1 June 2017 to 4 August 2017*
*Dates slightly negotiable

You will be able to:

• gain practical training in curatorial work through active involvement in our exhibition preparations and logistics, while working closely with the Talkover/Handover 2.0 project team and administrative team members of 1a space to assist in exhibition installation and dismantling, opening events, exhibition reception, guided tours and roundtable discussions etc.

We are looking for:

• a fresh graduate or student currently studying art, design, architecture, moving images, art education, museum studies or other related subjects; and
• someone with strong interest in working professionally in the contemporary art field and a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese / Mandarin)
